Hi, I'm Al. I like to drink beer. Especially good North Carolina Craft Beer. Now that you know all about me, I'd like to introduce my main man "Opie the O-Possum" a straight pimpin' advocate for all the above. Our bud "JJ Cool Jones" invited us up to his place in Asheville for the weekend and since it was a holiday and the start of Beer Week we decided to go taste some awesome NC Craft Beers.
We discovered a weird thing about Asheville, beer central in our area: a lot of bars don't open until 3 or even 4 pm! What?!? On a holiday? A Friday? The start of Beer Week? You must be kidding! Opie was pissed and wrote a lengthy, detailed, scathing letter to the town:
("Dear Asheville, I'm thirsty, please open sooner. Thanks, Opie.) Wow, that'll rattle some cages!
Since food places open earlier we decided to hit White Duck Taco Shop for some spicy fish tacos for lunch. They were great. White Duck does everything to order with all fresh, quality ingredients. Their beers are all fresh draft NC Craft Beers, so we decided on a Green Man IPA since that was all they had that day. A lot of sites have their expert beer geek reviewers who pontificate on and on about characteristics, flavor profiles, and such but I leave the reviews to Opie. Most of those reviewers just seem to advocate their opinion, while we just advocate the enjoyment and fun of drinking the beers.Opie's review: ("I liked it. It was good.")
