Your responsibility would be to work in conjunction with the Head of Pub Brewing Operations on all facets of brewery production including but not limited to:
Cellar -
- · keg cleaning, keg filling, keg moving
- · fermentation, conditioning, and brite beer tank CIP
- · transferring, filtering, and dry hopping beer
- · checking gravities and monitoring fermentation
- · carbonating and checking C02 levels
- · maintaining equipment and draft systems
- · cleaning floors, tanks, beer lines, etc
Brewhouse -
- · preparing raw materials using scales and measuring cups per recipe requirements
- · follow established brewhouse operating procedures
- · milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpooling, knockout, spent grains out
- · brewhouse vessels CIP, maintaining a clean brewhouse
Physical Requirements
include but are not limited to:
- · ability to lift 60 pounds to shoulder height and move 175 pounds safely
- · ability to work in wet environment with humidity, steam, and heat or cold
- · ability to climb stairs repeatedly and often
- · ability to bend, twist, kneel, etc.
- · ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
Qualified
Candidates will possess the following:
- · outgoing personality
- · strong people skills and willingness to interact with the public
- · ability to work variable hours and some weekends
- · ability to multi-task with attention to details
- · working to high quality standards with or without direct supervision
- · an aptitude for trouble shooting basic mechanical and electrical systems
- · strong problem solving skills
